Get to know your neighbour

In 2003, the first edition of the event “Get to know your neighbor” was arranged. The purpose was that Baltic Sea actors from Finland, Sweden and Åland could meet in Mariehamn to exchange ideas, find new partners, be inspired and be motivated to find common solutions for a cleaner sea.

Over the years, the event has grown and the participants are coming from all around the Baltic Sea region. During the event, we use working methods such as speed dating, workshops, and open space to give a lot of room for dialogue. Here everybody talks to everyone and at the same time take steps towards action.

DIY: MAKE YOUR OWN ”GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOUR” FOLDER – Use the printable version

  • Print the 4 horisontal pages, double sided on A3-sized paper, with flip on short edge.
  • Put the timeline together with sticky tape between the two halves.
  • Fold like an accordion in 4 parts, so that the part with the title and the painting becomes the front of the folder.
